Those who crave power, take advantage of those around them. This talks about the effect it might have on the ones that love them, and how its really their insecurities that make them fight so viciously. The song talks about god save the king in a new way. They need saving because they are so greedy. This reminds me of big brother and Napolian. My favorite line:
and we fight cuz we’d rather break our bones than brave this loneliness we draw blood cuz we’re just trying to draw out some significance
This line is talking about how the power hungry men are the ones who are the most afraid. They only fight because they are in pain themselves. 

I can't get no satisfaction

The greed that drives a powerful government, is one that is never satisfied. Although this is just true of human nature in general, those who rise to power are corrupted by it. They want more and more power, and if allowed to continue, the power will grow to ever aspect of human life. Dictators must be frustrated, as they never fully feel secure, never have the amount of power they are happy with. So they go on, trying and trying to bend the world to their will. Never getting no satisfaction.

Song #1: 21 Guns

The first song, 21 Guns is about fighting and what it really does. How horrible it really is, and how people fight for things that they don't really even care all that much about.

This reminds me of both animal farm, and 1984 because in both the people fight for silly and really unknown causes. This relates to my big question, because the dictators crave power and use war. Without really even being willing to fight in the war themselves, they send the people out. Then they sit back and wait for more.

A Bunch Of Animals

George Orwell's novel, Animal Farm is a political satire addressing the Russian revolution by creating animals which represent those people or people groups involved in it. The novel is meant to be one of heavy meaning through seemingly lighthearted humor. It begins with dictatorship of humans and then after the rebellion the animal farm returns to this state only under different leadership, the pigs. The pigs are the main charters as they represent Stalin and Trotsky, and are the main instigators. "Animal Farm" inspires us to question the systems of government within it, by disgusting us with its consequences. The goal of those animals on the farm is one of Utopia, but because animals are corrupt (as humans are) this is not possible. As I study this novel I will ask the big question of: "What is the mindset of the dictators in the beginning and how does that change thought the novel ,how does the power hunger change them?" I wonder about the pigs themselves and how they see everything. What is it that they really want? I believe this will be an interesting angle to take on this novel.
